A trading bot places trades for you based on rules you set. Two beginner-friendly styles dominate: Grid and DCA.
A Grid bot profits from price bouncing up and down inside a range. It places a ladder of buy and sell orders and pockets the small gaps as price oscillates — great in sideways, choppy markets.
A DCA (dollar-cost averaging) bot buys a fixed amount at regular intervals. It smooths out your entry price over time and suits people who believe in an asset long-term but don't want to time the market.
Neither guarantees profit — a Grid bot can get caught in a strong trend, and DCA still loses if the asset keeps falling. Start small, watch how the bot behaves, and adjust.
